Online counselling across Alberta

inding support should not depend on living near a therapist’s office, navigating winter roads or adding another commute to an already full week.

Virtual counselling allows you to connect from Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Grande Prairie, Okotoks, High River or a smaller rural Alberta community.

From a private space that works for you, sessions can offer room to understand what has been feeling difficult, reconnect with your needs and explore a more manageable way forward.

Areas we can explore together

Counselling does not require you to reduce your experience to a single concern. We can make space for the overlap between emotions, relationships, identity, responsibilities and the environments around you.

Anxiety + Overwhelm

Explore persistent worry, overthinking, perfectionism, people-pleasing or the feeling that your mind and body are always on alert.

Children + Teens

A flexible space for young people navigating big emotions, anxiety, friendships, confidence, school pressures, family changes or questions about who they are.

ADHD + Neurodivergence

Understand your attention, energy, sensory experiences and executive functioning while developing supports that respect how your brain works.

Emotional Regulation

Learn to recognize patterns of activation, shutdown or emotional intensity and practise tools that help create more choice in difficult moments.

Pregnancy + Parenthood

Compassionate support through pregnancy, postpartum changes, birth and NICU experiences, parenting stress, changing relationships and shifts in identity.

Life Transitions + Relationships

Space to explore change, grief, identity, boundaries, relationship patterns and the moments when life no longer feels the way it once did.

What is virtual counselling actually like?

Virtual counselling is more than an appointment moved onto a screen. It is a private, collaborative space where you can slow down, explore what has been happening and receive support from somewhere familiar.

You do not need a perfectly quiet home, a carefully prepared explanation or the right words. You are welcome to arrive exactly as you are.

Depending on your needs, sessions might include conversation, reflection, practical strategies, emotional-regulation tools or creative and play-based activities. For children and teens, we may incorporate drawing, games or familiar objects from home, with caregiver involvement shaped by the child’s age and needs.

Appointments take place through a secure video platform. All you need is a reliable internet connection and a private space where you feel comfortable speaking.

Is online therapy a good fit for you or your family?

Online counselling can be a helpful option when travel, childcare, work schedules, health concerns or distance from services make in-person appointments difficult.

Adults and teens may value being able to meet from a familiar space with fewer disruptions to the day. Some children also engage well online, particularly when sessions include movement, creativity, games and activities that match their developmental needs.

For younger clients, a caregiver may help prepare the space or materials and may participate in parts of the counselling process. This will depend on the child’s age, needs and therapeutic goals.

Virtual therapy will not be the right fit for every person or situation. Before beginning, we can consider your circumstances together and speak honestly about whether online counselling is likely to offer the support you need.
